Diane Williams is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker offering treatment for a variety of issues:
- Grief and loss
- Family Issues
- Retirement Transitioning
- Moving on from Divorce
Diane believes the relationship between client and therapist is the most powerful aspect of counseling. She emphasizes personal authenticity while providing a trusting and supportive environment for her therapy work. Utilizing a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused treatment and Family Systems Therapy, Diane facilitates a sincere, insightful connection with her clients.
Her motto: When life’s expectations don’t match life’s realities, you find yourself conflicted and unhappy. Childhood trauma and tension within the family often lead to a confused sense of self later in life. This can result in disappointing relationships, frustrated career goals and a chronic sense of restlessness. Diane feels it is all too easy for individuals to lose site of their TRUE NORTH. Success in life is about determining what you most deeply value, challenging your core beliefs and reconnecting with your true self. Life is about choices, Diane believes, and the more in touch you are with your most authentic self, the better your life choices.
Diane received her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2001. She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Texas at Dallas in 1995. Diane’s counseling experience includes working in long-term care facilities, non-profit agencies, hospitals and private practice.
In addition to her role as a mental health professional, Diane is also a wife, mother and grandmother.
