Jane is a graduate of Columbia University and the Dallas Psychoanalytic Institute and Center and has worked in private practice since 1980. She is a published clinical writer who served as Senior Correspondent for The American Psychoanalyst. Over the course of her career, Jane has taught and supervised a variety of mental health professionals.
Drawing on her four decades of clinical experience, Jane treats clients from all walks of life, and with a wide array of treatment goals. Working with couples, families and individuals, Jane incorporates a variety of therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic and insight-oriented psychotherapy. She helps couples and families recognize self-defeating patterns, resolve chronic arguments, listen and communicate more effectively and work together toward shared goals. She helps individuals clarify and pursue life goals, better manage stress and anxiety, relate to others in a more satisfying way and overcome obstacles and self-limiting beliefs arising from past experiences. Jane believes that authentic, lasting growth begins with deeper understanding of oneself and others. Understanding leads to more confidence, increased accomplishment and greater passion and enjoyment in life.
