
Marnie Pettit is a pre-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist under the supervision of Laney Knowlton, LMFT-S, CSAT, CCPS, and CPTT. Marnie holds a B.S. Ed. from the University of North Texas, and is currently completing her M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy at Amberton University.

Marnie holds six teaching certificates, and has been a Special Education Advocate and educator throughout Texas for over fifteen years. During her career in education, she encountered a variety of painful wounds and unresolved issues in families from a wide variety of backgrounds. She decided to become a Marriage and Family Therapist, helping families heal by better recognizing and working through their core issues and dysfunctional patterns. A native Texan, married since 1993, Marnie has three young adult daughters. Her couples counseling emphasizes tools for developing communication, deepening intimacy and resolving power struggles. She feels both individuals need to be heard and respected in any romantic relationship, and helps couples achieve balance by appreciating the unique perspective each person brings to the relationship.
Marnie believes clients are experts in their own lives and finds it a great honor to help them identify, refine and energetically pursue their life goals. She creates a non-judgmental therapy environment, supporting you as you develop intentional strategies to work through your challenges and meet your needs. A warm, empathic person who views mistakes as an opportunity to grow, Marnie will help you find your path to healing.
