A fully licensed mental health professional and experienced psychotherapist, Tara Beth Womble specializes in a variety of treatment areas including:

Tara is a Licensed Master Social Worker and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. She is also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) therapy and utilizes this therapy with her patients affected by trauma. Tara has 10 years of experience in the field of substance abuse treatment, working in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She received her Masters degree from Baylor University. While studying at Baylor, Tara researched areas including anxiety, grief and loss, PTSD, addiction and recovery and family systems issues.
Warm, genuine and personable, Tara is known for her ability to quickly develop rapport with clients. She believes that an organic personal connection and authentic trust between therapist and client are crucial for therapy to be effective. Tara’s therapeutic style is centered on the belief that her clients are the experts on their own experiences and her job is to walk alongside them in their unique personal journey. Supportive and encouraging while also fostering accountability, she meets her clients where they are. Tara helps her clients cultivate confidence and self-worth while defining and pursuing specific life goals.
Outside of the office, Tara and her husband enjoy the outdoors and spending time with their families and dogs. Tara received her undergraduate degree from Texas A & M University and is a fan of all things Aggie!
