James Robbins

James Robbins is a licensed psychotherapist, published author and co-owner of Dallas Whole Life Counseling (serving the Dallas-Fort Worth community since 1999).
In 2003, James' first non-fiction book, Build a Better Buddha, was published. He has lectured and offered workshops throughout Texas and along the West Coast, exploring various topics related to psychology and spirituality. James has been a featured expert in a variety of print, radio and television media.
James holds two graduate degrees: an M.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.A. in Counseling from Amberton University. For over 20 years, James has been helping people from all walks of life find their way home, rediscovering and living from within their natural, authentic selves.
James has been with his wife, psychologist Dr. Heather Robbins, since they were in High School. Prior to becoming a licensed therapist, James was a performing musician and music teacher in Austin, TX. A guitarist and vocalist, James studied classical music at UT Austin, and founded two popular rock bands in the local music scene.
