Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is based on the assumption that a person’s behavior and feelings are the result of learned (and often faulty) thinking patterns. The cognitive-behavioral model says that the areas of behavior, thought and feeling all affect one another, so changes made in any one area necessarily affect both other areas.

Serving Texas since 1999, Dallas Whole Life Counseling employs a wide variety of mental health counselors and psychologists who work with individuals, couples, teens, kids, and families. We offer expert treatment for anxiety and depression, non-judgmental relationship guidance, confident career, and life coaching, and a wealth of other services.

Counseling for Couples, Depression, Anxiety, and More

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy involves evaluating the way you think and feel from situation to situation, helping to idenitfy thinking patterns that were learned earlier in life.

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy or CBT includes tasks and strategies designed to help you valuate your core beliefs and cognitive patterns, allowing for a more informed, conscious decision as to whether these beliefs are, in fact, accurate or desirable.

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy also includes specific components aimed at altering behavioral responses. CBT work commonly involves practical strategies for problem solving, time management and increased focus. If you wish to change careers, lose weight, or even improve your dating life, for instance, CBT helps you better structure your time, set reasonable goals and become increasingly aware of self-defeating habits as you pursue your desired behavior.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is effective in treating a variety of difficulties and overcoming a wide range of life challenges. Some of these include:

Couples Issues
Depression
Anxiety
Career Issues

Stress Reduction
Motivation and Goal-Setting
Focus
Social Phobia

Sleep Problems
Panic Attacks
Sexual Issues
Anger Management
