Victoria Zhang is a licensed professional counselor. She received her Master’s degree in Counseling from Southern Methodist University.
Her main role as a therapist is to create a safe space for the stories of her patients to be heard and understood. She offers an individualized plan that allows you to accomplish your goals. She has experience with evidence-based modalities, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Emotional Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She works with her patients to find a therapeutic approach that fits. She also utilizes creative methods (e.g. art, music, writing) to support each person’s unique medium of expression.

Victoria believes that one of the hardest decisions a person can make in life is to seek help. We all encounter challenges and/or disadvantages at some point, and she knows it is easy to feel discouraged and criticize yourself in this process. Although these difficulties can affect you in profound ways, she believes that they are also opportunities to learn about your inner world and reflect upon what is working and what is not. This journey is quite exhausting for one person, so Victoria’s goal is to become a part of your support system. She hopes to empower each individual to make personal choices that will allow them to discover confidence, direction, happiness, peace, and healing.
As an Asian American woman, Victoria celebrates diversity and welcomes people from all backgrounds. She believes in a collaborative process for treatment. She will listen to your experiences with curiosity, hope, respect, and compassion, as you take the first bold step forward. She believes that you are the expert of you, and she serves as a guide to uncover your true potential.
NOTE FROM VICTORIA: As someone who is conscious of health concerns and diverse perspectives on health-conscious choices, I want to inform my clients that I will be wearing a mask for in-person sessions. To avoid possible discomfort or triggers, I will be greeting clients for the first time with my mask off in the lobby and putting it back on in the office. Virtual sessions can be an alternative option if you prefer to see my face while we are in session. I am happy to address any questions and concerns about this policy prior to the first session or during sessions based on your preference.
