Marilyn Powell, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist and the Dean of Psychology at Walden University. Marilyn works primarily with adults and couples on a wide-range of emotional and mental health issues, including:

Dr. Marilyn Powell earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Austin College in Sherman, TX, then completed a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University of Kansas in Lawrence. Working first in public mental health centers and hospitals, she shifted her career focus to nonprofit mental health working in a family therapy agency in the San Francisco bay area. A Dallas-Fort Worth native, Marilyn returned home to Dallas in 2003, pursuing a dual career in academic administration and private practice.
