They are your coworkers, your neighbors, members of the PTA, married men and women, thousands of them here in North Texas, who are logging onto a website specifically searching for an extramarital affair. CBS 11 went undercover to see why they’re looking to cheat Carol Kovasos found that the answers aren’t always so obvious, Carol. Financial trouble, depression, not understanding each other’s needs are just some other reasons married men and married women are turning to the Internet to stray from their marriages.

It’s 10 a.m. on a Monday morning we’re in the office and online. But there’s very little work getting done on this website. We’re logged on ashleymadison.com, a website for married men and women who want to cheat on their spouses. We spent about fifty dollars and set up a profile for one of our female producers and within minutes the hits started coming. Dozens of North Texas men and men traveling through town on business wanted to chat. We could have chatted all day long. Some men want to meet us for dinner some for drinks and others asked if we’d meet them at a hotel. Instead we decided to set up coffee date to see why these men were looking to cheat on their wives. With hidden cameras rolling we watched as three men showed up to me our undercover producer. What were their intentions? Why were they looking to cheat on their spouse? The answers might help you spot a cheating husband or wife and help save your marriage…
“Marital affairs are considerably more common than I think your average person realizes.”

We showed our hidden-camera footage to Dallas marriage counselor and sex therapist, James Robbins.

“I think the number one problem when it comes to matters of sexual dissatisfaction in a relationship, is simply that couples don’t really bring those things the table, they don’t even open up that communication to see where that will go.”

Robbins says if couples would just discussed their sexual desires it might end the tension and lead to compromise.

“That they’re not feeling that they’re getting that acceptance, that green light from their marital partner sometimes folks seek that out in other places through an affair.”

I have had an excellent experience with Steve Reedy. I have been a client of both James and Heather Robbins for 4 years now. Initially, I sought therapy to address a difficult situation at the time.
