You’re going to be seeing a lot of president elect Donald Trump for at least the next four years. Even more than you have been lately. Even more than when Omarosa was on “The Apprentice.” Some of you will like this. Some of you will not like this. Either way, you can benefit from Trump occupying the White House. Here’s how:
Trump supporter?
Be inspired. What single quality do you most admire about Trump? His confidence, maybe. Or you feel he speaks his mind despite the various powers that be. Whatever you most admire about Trump, I challenge you to incorporate more of this quality into your own life during his presidency. When you see Trump on TV, be reminded to stand up for yourself at work, or to express yourself more directly at home. Let the Donald motivate you to be bold, spontaneous, “off script”.
Trump non-supporter?
Be reverse inspired. What single quality do you find most offensive about Trump? Maybe you think he’s arrogant or prone to exaggeration. Maybe you think he’s a bully. Whatever most irks you about Trump, I challenge you to be more mindful of this quality (however understated) in yourself during his presidency. Does Trump’s brash talking style make your blood boil? Let his voice remind you to be more aware of your own speaking tone or choice of words. Let the Donald motivate you to be humble, soft-spoken, a generous listener.
