From time to time you have a-ha moments. You can’t exactly make them happen. You can’t necessarily avoid them. There’s an element of surprise, of sudden understanding–hence a-ha!
Suppose you’re confused about how modern lighting works. You think that a magic spell makes your light bulb turn on when you flip the switch. Then someone shows you the wires in your wall, explains how electrical current travels to the light bulb when you flip the switch. Maybe you find this explanation disappointing, or maybe you find it exciting. Either way, now you suddenly understand something in a new way. It’s worth noting that your lighting process has worked the same way the entire time. You’ve simply replaced an old belief with direct perception. You see how things truly are rather than how you feel them to be or want them to be.
When was your last a-ha moment? What did you learn?
Can you predict when you might be due for your next a-ha moment? Can you make a wild guess about what aspect of yourself or your life situation you might suddenly perceive differently?
